The 1400x560 marquee tile is the banner Chrome Web Store uses when featuring an extension in editorial collections or category spotlights. Without it, your extension is ineligible for featured placement — one of the highest-traffic discoverability surfaces in the store. Extensions in featured sections see significantly higher install rates than those found only through search. While not a hard submission blocker, the chrome-cws-marquee-tile recommendation is followed by every extension that achieves meaningful organic growth through store discovery.

Create a 1400x560 pixel promotional banner highlighting your extension's primary value proposition. Save it to screenshots/marquee.png.

Design guidance: include the extension icon, name, and one-sentence benefit. Use a color scheme that matches your icon. Tools like Figma (free) have Chrome Web Store marquee templates. The image must be PNG or JPG; keep file size under 1MB. Upload in the store dashboard under Store Listing > Promotional Images.
